Course Designer, Scott Pate
Design Philosophy
Acclaimed architect Scott Pate of Seaside Golf Development, designed the
award-winning Hernando Oaks golf course to blend in naturally with the
native landscape, complimenting the rolling wooded terrain of
Brooksville.
Designed with fairness in mind, Mr. Pate created expanded landing areas
with water hazards on seven holes - enough to challenge but not dominate
your round. The 18-hole facility features 419 bermudagrass
tees/fairways and large undulating and challenging TifEagle ultra-dwarf
greens. As a unique feature, the course has native grass species in the
rough areas, keeping the area environmentally friendly for native
wildlife.
